Explanatory note for the REPIX book or booklet:
The REPIX lexicon is based on a living language aesthetic, in perpetual reinvention. The neologisms invented here are not linguistic whims, but tools of resistance , words to express what the dominant order erases : forgotten digital memory, decolonial creativity, the textile traces of the Global South. These hybrid words—between French, Lingala, computer science, poetry, and art brut—become a militant linguistic material . They deliberately move away from dictionaries to reach the margins, the fractures, the seams. This is where REPIX weaves its language.

🚫 REPIX Neologisms – Poetic and committed creations
Within the framework of REPIX, lexical creation is part of an assumed artistic and critical approach. The neologisms presented here are not a gratuitous language game, but constitute a strategy of militant enunciation , in the service of an aesthetic of reparation, memory and radical Afrofuturism.
Inspired by textiles, digital languages, African languages, and practices of artistic diversion, these terms allow us to express contemporary realities that are still little or poorly named in the institutional field. They offer an alternative vocabulary for thinking about the digital ecological crisis, aesthetic disobedience, and the reinvention of archives from the margins .
Each word thus forges its own symbolic space, situated at the intersection of art, technology, activism and poetry. This voluntary neology also constitutes an attempt at lexical decolonization , breaking away from hegemonic technical languages and dominant discourses on innovation.
These lexical creations can therefore be understood as critical and conceptual tools , aimed at supporting the theoretical reflection and committed artistic practices developed within REPIX.
